Privacy Policy

Effective July 23, 2026 • Alpha 3.0

The game does not require an account, email address, social login, payment information, advertising profile, or real name. A private save identifier connects your browser to your character.

Information in a character save

A save contains the character name you choose and the simulation state needed to continue play. That state can include background choices, attributes, health and recovery, training, techniques, inventory, finances, travel, schools, relationships, career results, organizations, ownership, journal entries, and game settings. Avoid using a real name or putting sensitive personal information in a character name or imported file.

Browser storage and cookies

Your browser stores recent save identifiers, the local character roster, display and accessibility preferences, language selection, and interface choices. This is what makes resume, logout, multiple-character selection, and persistent settings work. Clearing site data may erase these local pointers without deleting the server copy of a save. The service may use a session cookie and a security token to protect state-changing requests; it does not currently use advertising cookies.

Operational telemetry

For a game action, the application records the action identifier, whether the request succeeded or was rejected, response duration, the private save UUID, save schema version, and game mode. This narrow operational record is used to diagnose failures, identify slow actions, and verify production health. The application telemetry does not include the character name, IP address, or browser user-agent string.

Ordinary hosting logs

Separately from game telemetry, the hosting platform may process ordinary server and security logs. These can include IP address, time, requested path, browser information, network response, and error details. They are used to operate the website, investigate faults, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

How information is used

Logan Pendragon Forge does not sell personal information or use third-party behavioral advertising. The public site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, sessions, traffic sources, device categories, engagement, guide-to-game clicks, character-creation starts and completions, and successful save resumes so the project can understand whether its public pages are useful and whether visitors can begin playing. Google Analytics may process identifiers, browser and device information, approximate location derived from network information, and interaction data under Google's service terms. These events contain only the event name: the game does not send character names, private save identifiers, form values, save contents, or game-action telemetry to Google Analytics.

Service providers and disclosure

Hosting, database, backup, and security providers may process information only as needed to run and protect the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service or another person, or as part of a legitimate business transfer with appropriate protections.

Retention, backups, and deletion

Active Alpha saves are retained so that they can be resumed. Operational records and hosting logs are retained for reasonable security and troubleshooting periods. Backups may remain for a limited recovery cycle after live data is removed. Because there is no identity account to prove ownership, a deletion request must include the private save identifier and may require additional evidence that the requester controls it.

Your choices

You can play under a fictional character name, export a portable copy, clear local browser data, avoid creating a new save, or request deletion of a server save you control. Logging out removes the selected character from the active browser session; it does not by itself delete the server copy.

Security

The game uses randomly generated save identifiers, request validation, security tokens, database controls, and operational monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. Keep save links and exports private, and report an unexpected disclosure or access problem promptly.

Children and international use

The service is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor's use. Hosting and processing may occur in the United States, and access from another country may involve transferring information there subject to applicable law.

Policy updates and contact

Material changes will receive a new effective date and may also appear in the changelog. Privacy questions and save-deletion requests can be submitted through Logan Pendragon Forge.
